Bookmark Flash

It only takes one click to create a bookmark, but when it comes to organizing them, most web browsers leave much to be desired. If you do not take your time to organize them in your browser, you will end up with a long list of bookmarks and it will be difficult to find a specific one. With Bookmark Flash, it is much easier to bookmark web sites. They can be organized like in a standard explorer window and a search feature will help you find them immediately.

The application comes in an archive, which only takes up 825 Kb of disk space. It does not need installing, so you can run it right after unpacking the archive. If you have Windows 2000 or any higher version, you can use Bookmark Flash without any problems.

The application will place a small icon on your screen, which can be moved anywhere by clicking and dragging it. If you want to bookmark a web page, you can either double click the icon or drag and drop the URL over it. A pop up window, in the lower right corner of the screen, will display the web page's title and URL. Clicking the link, in this pop up, will bring up a window where you can add a description, edit the title or the URL. If you save a web page which requires authentication, you can type in the username and password on the same window.

The application's interface can be displayed by double clicking its system tray icon. The saved bookmarks are stored in a tree structure and you can organize them in separate folders, just like in Windows Explorer. It is also possible to add bookmarks to a favorites list, which can be found under a separate tab (placed on the bottom edge of the interface).

A saved web page can be launched by double clicking its bookmark. If you want to launch it in another browser, you can select one from a pop up menu, after clicking a button in the lower left corner of the window. Bookmark Flash is compatible with many browsers, including Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Opera and more. The application can also import bookmarks from any of these browsers.

Besides bookmarks, the program lets you create notes, using plain text. Just like URLs, you can select and drag a text to the software's icon. It will be saved as a new entry, under the Note tab. If you can not click and drag the text, you can still import it by selecting it and using a hot key (CTRL + Win + C). Notes are organized in separate folders as well, and their contents are displayed on the right half of the interface.
